Digital Sight ACT-1 for L-1 SoftwareSaving and Retrieving Image Capture SettingsA feature of the Digital Sight ACT-1 software that provides considerable time saving and convenience is the capability to save image capture settings in a Setting File, which can later be retrieved at any time that the same configuration is required.
Image capture variables that are set in the Photo, File, Options, and other panels can be collectively saved in a Setting File under a user-selected file name. The following information (in addition to other settings) is contained in a Setting File :
Saving a Setting File is initiated from the File option in the menu bar. From the File command list (Figure 1), selecting Setting|Save opens the Save As dialog box. The location for saving the file can be chosen from the Save in: pull-down list, and the desired file name is then typed into the appropriate text field. Clicking the Save button completes the saving of the image capture variables. All setting files are saved by the ACT-1 software with the .xml file extension. Loading a previously saved setting file in order to retrieve the configuration variables is accomplished by the same procedure as described above, except that Setting|Load is chosen from the File menu command list (Figure 1). The file Open dialog box appears, allowing the location at which the setting file was saved to be selected from the Look in: pull-down list. After the target .xml file is chosen from the file list, clicking on the Open button will restore the previously utilized image capture settings. BACK TO DIGITAL SIGHT ACT-1 SOFTWARE |
