Option Submenu Features

The DN100 digital network camera OPTN submenu contains a number of miscellaneous features, including shading correction, noise reduction, the crosshair feature, and the scale lines feature. Clicking the mouse cursor on Crosshair Display button (illustrated in Figure 1) toggles screen display of the crosshairs, which appear as a red cross positioned over the center of the display window.

The Scale Display button toggles on and off screen display of the scale lines, which appear as a central crosshair with a horizontal and vertical scale. Each of the scale lines may be individually repositioned on the display window by holding down the left mouse button and dragging the selected line with the mouse cursor. If the electronic zoom function is enabled, then spacing between indicator marks on the scale lines changes as the image is zoomed in. The graduations on the scale correspond to individual pixels on the CCD (4.1 x 4.1 micron pixel size). When the image display is configured for XGA mode, however, the pixels sent to the screen and the graduations shown on the scale lines will not match.

The Noise Reduction feature and the Shading Correction feature (Figure 1) are discussed in detail in the Image Correction Features section. Clicking the MAIN Menu Display button will close the submenu window and will activate the Main menu. Main menu features are covered in the MAIN Menu Features section. Similarly, clicking the Setup Menu Display button (Figure 1) will close the submenu window and will activate the Power ON Setting panel of the Setup menu. Power ON Setting panel features are covered in the Power ON Setting Panel Features section.
