Rat Kangaroo Kidney (PtK2) Cell Nuclear Cdc6 Protein with Alexa Fluor 568

G-2E/C Bandpass Emission (Narrow Bandwidth Excitation) Green Set

Fluorescence emission intensity from a culture of rat kangaroo kidney epithelial cells (PtK2cell line) that were immunofluorescently labeled with primary anti-cdc6 (human) mouse monoclonal antibodies followed by goat anti-mouse Fab fragments conjugated to Alexa Fluor 568. The visible light absorption maximum of Alexa Fluor 568 is 578 nanometers and the emission maximum occurs at 603 nanometers. Cdc6 is expressed in actively replicating cells to function during eukaryotic replication initiation, and is essential for DNA synthesis. In addition, the specimen was simultaneously stained for F-actin with Alexa Fluor 488 conjugated to phalloidin, and for DNA with Hoechst 33258. Note the absence of signals from the blue and green probes, but the intense orange-red fluorescence present in the nuclei and concentrated in several regions of the cytoplasm.
