Presented above is a photomicrograph of trichomes, or plant hairs, from the leaves of common roadside mullein (Verbascum thapsus). The digital image was captured using a Nikon SMZ1500 microscope coupled to an epi-fluorescence illuminator and the DXM1200 camera system.
